Five new cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria; total now 214

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) Saturday night confirmed five new cases of coronavirus in the country.

The centre disclosed on is Twitter handle that three of the cases were recorded in Bauchi and two in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The new cases have now increased the country’s number of COVID-19 patients to 214.

25 of the infected persons have been discharged after they were declared medically fit by health workers while four had been killed by the disease.

Lagos remains the epicenter of the coronavirus pandemic with 109 cases followed by the FCT with 47 patients, including Saturday’s figure.

“As at 10:10 p.m. 4th April there are 214 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. 25 have been discharged with two deaths,” NCDC stated.
